Which TV to choose for each room: from 24 to 65 inches
Practical guide to the right TV size room by room: kitchen, bedroom, living room, basement. Distances, inches and advice from the Sinudyne range.

When people ask us "which TV should I buy?", the most honest answer is: it depends on the room. The same model that shines in the living room looks out of scale in the kitchen; and a small TV that's perfect in a child's bedroom gets lost on a 4-metre wall.
This is a practical, room-by-room guide for choosing the right TV size based on viewing distance, furniture and real use.
The distance rule (in two lines)
You don't need engineering maths. Just two numbers:
- HD / Full HD panels: minimum distance ≈ inches × 4 cm.
- 4K UHD panels: minimum distance ≈ inches × 2.5 cm.
Below this distance the eye sees individual pixels; above it, using the resolution becomes hard. Example: a 50" 4K is enjoyed from 1.25 m, a 32" HD from 1.3 m.
Kitchen — 24 or 32 inches
In the kitchen the TV is company, not a cinema. You watch it while cooking, having breakfast, loading the dishwasher. Distances are short (1.5–2 m), space is limited.
- 24 inches — perfect on a wall cabinet, on a low surface, in compact apartment kitchens. The Sinudyne 24" Smart TV is designed exactly for this: minimal footprint, webOS, all the main apps.
- 32 inches — the right choice for larger open-space kitchens or for those who also want to enjoy a light film while having dinner. The Sinudyne 32" Smart TV fits anywhere without overpowering the room.
Bedroom — 32 or 43 inches
In the bedroom you watch the TV from bed or from the small sofa, at 2–2.5 m. You don't need big, you need comfortable: screen not too bright, decent audio, intuitive remote for evening hours.
- 32 inches — the classic size for standard bedrooms. Balanced, light, perfect to wall-mount across from the bed.
- 43 inches — if the room is large or you like to watch a film before sleep like a little cinema, the Sinudyne 43" Smart TV 4K UHD is the right size.
Tip: in the bedroom, consider the nanoTouch wireless earbuds to watch late at night without disturbing whoever is sleeping.
Study / kids' room — 24 or 32 inches
For a study or a kids' room — where the TV may also serve as a second monitor or as a console screen — the same logic as the bedroom applies, with an extra eye on HDMI connections: one free for the console, one for the PC. The Sinudyne 24" and 32" TVs have three HDMI ports: enough for any scenario.
Medium living room — 50 inches (the European "sweet spot")
The medium European living room has the sofa about 2.5–3.5 m from the TV. This is the kingdom of 50 inches, the best-selling size in Italy. It's the perfect balance:
- big enough to do justice to films, sport and video games;
- not so big that it takes over the room;
- honest price, 4K UHD quality now standard.
The Sinudyne 50" Smart TV is designed exactly for this scenario.
Large living room / home cinema — 55 or 65 inches
For larger living rooms (sofa distance over 3 m), or for those who really want the home-cinema feel, the two most cinematic sizes in the range come on stage.
- 55 inches — the step immediately above 50". The Sinudyne 55" gives you more scene without overdoing the footprint.
- 65 inches — the size for those who watch a lot of sport, action films, native 4K content. The Sinudyne 65" is a major TV: you need a wall that holds it, at least 3.5 m from the sofa and a good audio system.
Basement / attic / second home — 32 or 43 inches
In "secondary" rooms (basement, attic, holiday home) the TV doesn't have to be the protagonist: it has to work. 32 or 43 inches with webOS and all the apps are enough: same experience as the main TV, smaller footprint, contained expense.
Quick summary table
